ORIENT | inauguration of the series | #StrefaEtno

An ancient region filled with love, peace, and a love for art. This is the landscape that emerged from the sounds enveloping us during Friday's concert by Wassim and Hamdam Trio. Persian music rooted in Sufi tradition, compositions drawing from the radif repertoire; texts by Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi arranged for traditional instruments. It was a musical journey full of archaic songs – in Aramaic, Arabic, Persian, and Kurdish – that co-create the culture of the Middle East.
