Concert as part of the Cracovia Sacra 2025 Festival took place on August 15, 2025, at 8:30 PM, at St. Lazarus Church, Kraków, ul. Kopernika 19.
The concert Hymns of Independence – 1000 Years of the Polish Crown featured works that, throughout the centuries, have served and continue to serve as Poland’s national hymns, as well as selected religious and secular songs of a hymnic character—of great historical significance and still vital in shaping national identity.
We also heard works by Fryderyk Chopin, whose music is a hallmark of Polish cultural identity. Pieces by Ignacy Jan Paderewski were performed as well; both his music and his diplomatic achievements proved to be crucial and effective tools on the path to regaining Poland’s independence.
